Maiden Run at Shell Eco Marathon

Our Eco Illini car looked great as it powered across the start line in the last day of competition at the 2012 Shell Eco Marathon Americas competition. Despite the good looks, the car threw its chain after two laps, leading to a DNF for the UIUC ultramileage cars. It was an unfortunate event for this year’s team, but look for a strong performance next year with the newly-gained motivation and technical experience.
